2016 is the year of the BIG WET.

Never before has Cobar seen so much rain with 160mm falling in the opening days of this, the 12th Gecko Wheels Cliffhanger.

It eliminated the dust, the rivers flooded and the distinctive Outback red landscape quickly turned to mud with a touch of green.

The deluge changed the dynamics of all of the stages as bog holes emerged in speedways, the rocks were slippery as water cascaded down winch hills and the creeks were flowing into the cliffhanger walls.

Watch as teams take on the elements, see the big V8's throw rooster tails, awesome sideways drifts and countless ropes snapping, with plenty of nail biting Cliffhanger action as they competed to be this years winner!
