This is a brand-new airbag load assist kit to suit the rear of the following vehicles:
- Toyota Fortuner
All kits to suit non-lifted vehicles come with our standard double-convoluted airbags. If you have a lifted vehicle please select in the options as you will require our triple-convoluted airbags to suit higher ride heights. The triple bag kits are at an additional cost.
We provide a number of kitting options for our AAA Suspension Airbag Kits. By selecting an “In-Cab Kit”, you will also be supplied with all the gear required to control the air in your bags from the inside of your vehicle, and you can option for us to supply a compressor included in the In-Cab kit for you too if you do not already have one installed. Just pick through your options when checking out.
This is a very easy kit that replaces the bump stop. It bolts to chassis using factory bump stop mounts. The lower brackets straddle the axle tube and are held on securely by 1 x U bolt and 1 x lower brace and 2 x bolts. Everything you need is supplied in this kit.
These bellows style bags are good over 1.25t per bag so that’s way more than coil inserts. Also there are no rubbing parts like there is with inserts and so AAA offer you a 10 year warranty on this kit confident there will be no leaks or wearing out of bags.
People would buy this kit because they want to tow things. No matter how heavy the load – just add more air until the car is sitting level again. Then when unloaded just let the air out and it’s as though they are not there.
Ideal working pressures –
- unloaded 5psi
- loaded 30-45 psi (just like your tyres)
The AAA leaf assist air bag kit replaces your bump stops and effectively becomes a bump stop conversion that can help you carry a load. When unloaded you want some air in the bags (10-15 psi) so you have some cushion or softness in the new bump stop effect. Then as you load up just add more air – what ever it takes to keep the vehicle level. The AAA kit is rated at 2.5t so that’s the bags being capable of lifting 2.5t of additional weight over the rear axle. Your real limit is your GVM and what’s safe and sensible, but know the bags are up for what ever your load might be.
The rubber in the bags is heavier than the rubber in the sidewalls of your tyres so they last for ever seeing there is no rubbing or moving parts as such. AAA kits come with a 10 year new for old warranty on all bags, brackets, airlines and valves.
