Airbag kit includes two airbags, vehicle specific airbag mounts, required bolts, air fittings, air line tubing and inflation valves. Full instructions included. The kit suits standard height up to a 2″ lift without any additional components or upgrades.
This is a brand-new airbag load assist kit to suit the rear of the following vehicles:
- Ford Ranger Super Duty 2025-On
By selecting an “In-Cab Kit”, you will also be supplied with all the gear required to control the air in your bags from the inside of your vehicle, and you can option for us to supply a compressor for you too if you do not already have one installed. Pair your large in-cab kit with one of our air tanks if you wish to increase the capacity of your onboard air system.
In keeping with the “Super Duty” nature of these vehicles this kit follows suit as a Super Duty kit. We have gone to great lengths to upgrade every component and aspect to tick all the boxes and use nothing but the most robust components…
- Our bigger 2600 series air bag
- Internal Bump Stops
- New U-Bolts
- Optional upgrade to stainless braided air lines
Essentially this kit replaces the bump stops and sits between the chassis and the axle. It’s very easy to fit with basic tools and people can do it at home. There is no drilling, cutting or welding and we use what the vehicle has to offer us.
The rear of a Super Duty has a lot of similarities to the Next Gen Ranger only everything is bigger. On the driver side it has the same ride height sensor for the headlights. On the passenger side there is a second ride height sensor for the weight management system. The Super Duty has a screen that shows if the rear is sitting down under load. Use that screen to know you have put the right amount of air in the bags and have brought the running height back to normal. A simple relocation of the top sensor mount on each side sees ample room for our bags thanks to the offset in our brackets. No need to touch the lower mounts.
The bags in this kit have internal bump stops.
This kit comes with 4 x new U-Bolts. Pedders supply us with these and they are used in their GVM upgraded 79 Series Landcruiser.
When you checkout there is an option to upgrade to Stainless Braided Air lines. This is recommended as the exhaust is right in the way of where you’d want to run the line on the Driver side. Those who don’t opt for these say they know what I meant once they fit it. We use JIC swivel fittings at each end as used in gas lines. At the bag we have a specic JIC Banjo and at the inflation end we have our own specific JIC to Schrader all in one piece. Because we are an air suspension specialty company we use these in other applications already. Extreme durability and they will not leak, melt or get damaged by stones etc. We were going to make this a standard feature but it added expense that some people may choose to not endure. So it is a recommended upgrade.
When unloaded it’s good to have some air in the bags, after all they are your new bump stop and some cushion is nice. Some people go for a bit more pressure when unloaded for added stiffness and sportiness around corners. What you run when unloaded gets down to your personal preference.
When you load up just add what ever air is needed to keep the vehicle at normal driving height. The physics that apply to air in your tyres works the same in your bags – if 45 psi hold the tyres up then 45 psi will hold the bags up too. If you need say 100 psi then you are overloaded. We have a rule of thumb that says don’t go over what’s in your tyres and never go over 65 psi. As it happens the bags are rated to still be effective with an additional 2,750Kg over the rear axle. So we know they are up for the very heaviest of loads but still like they are not there when empty.
This kit comes complete for manual operation …
- Top and bottom brackets
- 4 x U Bolts
- 24 x bolts and washers that attach the bags to the brackets.
- The bags themselves – AAA Branded 2600 series.
- Air Fittings – push connect
- Nylon 6mm OD air line – it is a lot more durable than polyurethane.
- Each bag has its own inflation schrader (tyre) valve and mounting bracket that would normally mount to say trailer plug mount.
- Easy to follow instructions.
All bolts used in this kit are hi-tensile grade 8 for maximum strength. The brackets were not only designed and engineered by ourselves but we also manufacture them here in our Melbourne based fabrication workshop.
This kit uses our new Banjo air fitting at the bag. Bec ause of room constraints the air line comes out horizontally. Traditionally the air bag industry used a swivel fitting prone to leaking. We set about engineering and sourcing a banjo bolt syle fitting with internal O’Rings rather than copper washers to eliminate leaks. We now have a robust fitting that doesn’t leak and can withstand the brutal environment underneath your vehicle. Pictured is our banjo to 6mm hose. If you get the braided line upgrade we supply the 1/4″ BSPT Banjo to 7/16 JIC Male fittings instead.
