The Superior 304 Stainless Steel Coolant Line Guard protects the exposed factory coolant lines under the BYD Shark 6 (2024 on) from rocks, sticks and ruts, with corrosion-resistant stainless construction that needs no paint or powdercoat.
This guard protects the exposed factory coolant lines under your BYD Shark 6. It's made from 304 stainless steel for the Shark 6 from 2024 onwards, and puts a solid barrier between the lines and whatever the road or track throws at them. That covers rocks, sticks and ruts on gravel roads, off-road tracks, farm properties and worksites.
On the Shark 6 the factory coolant lines sit low and exposed under the vehicle, with very little protecting them. A stick flicked up by a front tyre, a rock on a washed-out track or the edge of a deep rut can all hit them. A split or crushed coolant line means losing coolant, and usually stopping on the spot, often a long way from a workshop. A dedicated guard costs little compared with a recovery, repairs and a ruined trip.
The guard is CNC laser cut and folded from 304 stainless steel, which resists corrosion on its own. It doesn't need a paint or powdercoat layer to stay intact. A coated steel guard can chip and start to rust once it has been dragged over a few rocks, but scratches on stainless steel from normal off-road use won't let corrosion in. That makes it a good fit for vehicles that regularly see mud, water crossings, beach driving and dusty tracks.
This guard complements the Superior Engineering 304 Stainless Steel Engine/Diff/Transfer Guard (UGRD-A-SHK01). That kit protects the engine, differential and transfer case. Adding the Coolant Line Guard extends the protection to the factory coolant lines as well, so more of the vulnerable parts under your Shark 6 are covered.
If you take your Shark 6 onto gravel, tracks or worksites, this guard gives you a simple way to cover one of the most exposed parts underneath. That helps you avoid a trip-ending coolant leak, whether you run it with the Engine/Diff/Transfer Guard or on its own.
