Superior Hybrid Radius Long Arms with Drop Box suitable for Nissan Patrol GQ and GU (Gen 2) are designed to correct suspension castor, ride quality, articulation, and tyre clearance on lifted vehicles. Combining extra-long hybrid radius arms with heavy-duty drop boxes to create one of the most advanced Patrol front radius arms available.

As lift height increases, the factory radius arm geometry becomes increasingly compromised. This can result in a harsher ride, reduced suspension travel, increased bush loading, poor caster characteristics, and limited tyre clearance. While conventional caster correction arms help address some of these issues, they still leave the radius arms operating at steep angles that restrict suspension performance.

The Superior Hybrid Long Arm System addresses the problem from both ends. The combination of extra-long radius arms and chassis-mounted drop boxes helps restore suspension geometry, allowing the suspension to cycle more naturally through its travel while improving ride comfort, articulation, and overall vehicle stability.

One of the standout features of these arms is its adjustable axle positioning. Using the supplied spacers, the front differential can be positioned from the factory location up to 16mm further forward. This additional adjustment helps create valuable clearance from the vehicles body, particularly on vehicles running larger tyres, while also allowing builders to fine-tune wheel placement within the guard opening.

Unlike many other long-arms on the market, the Superior Hybrid design retains the OEM crossmember location. This allows owners to continue using factory-style heavy-duty replacement crossmembers or engine-conversion-specific crossmembers without needing extensive modifications. The extended arm length also improves suspension operation by reducing the angular change throughout wheel travel.

Manufactured from high-tensile Bisalloy 80 / Strenx700 plate, these are among the strongest hybrid long arms available. The massive 32mm thick main beam construction, high-tensile bush eyes, and reinforced drop box design provide exceptional durability in extreme conditions. Combined with the increased tie rod clearance, high-articulation bush design, and hybrid drop box configuration, the result is a Patrol that performs exceptionally both on-road and off-road.
