Front Shocks & Coil Springs

The front of the Outback Venturer Prado 250 is supported by Australian-made heavy-duty coil springs, manufactured from high-stress X5K spring steel for consistent ride height and long-term durability under load. These coil springs are paired with Superior Engineering 2.0 adjustable remote reservoir shock absorbers, delivering controlled handling on-road and performance off-road.

The shocks are fully rebuildable, serviceable and upgradeable, backed by a 3-year unlimited kilometre repairable warranty. An extensive range of spare parts allows the shocks to be tuned, refreshed and maintained over their service life, helping maximise longevity and performance as vehicle use evolves. Up to eight stages of compression adjustment are available via the dial located on the remote reservoir canister, allowing fine control to suit varying loads, terrain and driving conditions.

Also included are Prado 250 series specific front shock reservoir mounts, designed to securely position the reservoirs out of harm’s way while maintaining clean, professional fitment.

At the heart of these upgrades are the Billet Series Alloy Adjustable Upper Control Arms, which restore and fine-tune front-end alignment after a suspension lift, improving caster, steering feel and tyre wear while providing the strength needed for serious off-road use.

To complement the control arms, the Billet Series Diff Drop Kit lowers the front differential, reducing CV operating angles and minimising driveline stress, improving reliability on rough and rutted tracks. The package also includes a 2-Port Diff Breather Kit, which relocates the differential breathers to a higher, safer position to protect against water and dust ingress during water crossings.

Together, these front suspension upgrades ensure your Prado 250 Series maintains correct geometry, smooth handling and long-term reliability, giving you confidence on the road and while touring the toughest tracks Australia has to offer.

Rear Suspension Component Upgrades

The Outback Venturer Prado 250 Series package also includes a suite of premium rear suspension components designed to maintain correct geometry, improve handling, and maximise durability under load. The Superior adjustable rear panhard rod provides accurate axle location after your lift, while the Billet Series Alloy Rear Lower Control Arms and adjustable upper control arms restore suspension alignment and provide the strength needed for heavy-duty touring and off-road use.

To keep your Prado stable and predictable through corners and uneven terrain, the package includes sway bar extensions and a heavy-duty 24mm rear sway bar kit, paired with rear bump stop extensions for improved articulation and suspension control. While 4-inch extended rubber brake lines maintain proper braking performance under lift conditions and heavier loads.

Rear Lower Spring Seat Bracing

The Outback Venturer Prado 250 Series package includes a Superior Billet Coil Seat Brace kit, developed to reinforce the rear spring seats and improve load-handling durability. These braces provide additional support to the coil mounts, reducing stress and fatigue under heavy touring, towing or off-road conditions. By strengthening this critical area of your suspension, the coil seat braces help maintain consistent ride height, alignment and long-term performance, ensuring your Prado 250 Series remains stable and reliable when loaded to the new 4,000kg GVM.

Superior 304 Stainless Steel Radiator, Differential, Transmission and Transfer Case Guard Kit are also included to match the capability of your upgraded Prado.
