US Tariff Costs - More information regarding your purchase.

International Shipping & Customs/Duties/Taxes.

The 4WD Shed is a small family run business located in Australia. We don't export items overseas & are a reseller located in Australia focusing on Australian released vehicles.

We do however understand that we have customers located overseas who would like to purchase some of the products we offer online. We are able to do this but within limitations.

First & foremost we sell at our RRP in AUD. We dont exclude GST, we can't automatically add your own countries Taxes & Duties. Therefore the cost of customs/taxes/duties is to be paid by the customer. The only exception to this is the new Tariff into America which we call the TRUMP TARIFF.

We are also limited in dimensions & weights in what we can ship as we use Australia Post to deliver our international items. Auspost then pass that along to the local post company for delivery. We do not offer shipping insurance on items once they arrive into the recipients country. If an item is lost between Aus & the receivers' airport we can make a claim. Once it is handed off to the local service we are unable to make any insurance claims.

Lastly we don't guarantee fitment of any part we sell into an international vehicle. Though they may be the same between LHD or RHD or even be a RHD vehicle. Unless it was delivered into Australia we do not guarantee fitment. We don't accept international returns on items so you are buying at your own risk.

Its not all doom & gloom, we have successfully provided 4WD parts & accessories into the UK, USA, NZ & many other countries in both Asia & Europe over the past 10yrs. If there is something you are interested in please contact us directly to see if we can help you out. If its large & requires a pallet we will however say no.

USA Tariffs........

The Trump administration has introduced a tariff on all items being sent to the USA. This at the time of writing this post & subject to change (8/4/26) was approx 25% on car parts. This tariff is paid by us when the item successfully lands at the airport in the USA. Then they release the item to UPS, not sure if there is any user end fees on top of this please check you own customs information.

The fun part, we dont have a way yet of automatically calculating this fee on any item going to the US at this stage when you check out. If you purchase an item going to the US we will calculate the fee using Zonos & then manually add this into your order. Once paid, we can get the order on its way to you. If you factor in approx 25% of the product price this will give you a baseline (subject to change). We only pass along a charge as we get it, we dont make any money on it. If you have any questions please contact us.

Latest on US tariffs. What has changed?

The US has announced tariffs on imports from Australia and trade partners globally.

In response to a decision by the US Supreme Court on 20 February 2026, the United States terminated the reciprocal tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act in April 2025. The United States subsequently imposed a new global 10 per cent Temporary Import Surcharge which will apply to most goods imported to the United States. Some goods are subject to a higher tariff rate, while others are exempt.

The US suspended the de minimis exemption for all low-value imports to the US from 29 August 2025. On 20 February 2026, the US confirmed an extension of this suspension. As a result, all goods valued at US$800 or less are subject to specific tariff rates.

It is important for exporters to understand the changes already introduced and to stay up to date with new announcements. Exporters should seek independent advice on these updated requirements.
