This XTra Leaf pack aids in the prevention of sag of constantly heavy vehicles. This kit was specifically designed for the Ford Ranger Superduty. It is not a generic one kit fits all. Watch for cheap alternatives.
At AAA we set out to come up with a kit that can be posted to customers and fitted at home or by their mechanic. Essentially this kit adds an extra leaf to the spring pack on each side. We found most leaf spring specialists all wanted the car in their workshop or they wanted your leaf spring to work with – neither were an option in our opinion. These vehicles all have the same leaf springs so why not come up with a solution we can pick off the shelf and post to customers?
Who needs these : People who carry a heavy load all of the time and face a constant sag need these. Our AAA Air bag kit will solve that too but the bags are intended for the occassional load such as towing a van or work trailer then going back to soft when unloaded. If you are always loaded then you need a stiffer spring pack.
The vehicle (white Super Duty) in the pictures came in with a saggy bum and weighed in at 3,750Kg. After fitting our XL38 Xtra Leafs he drove out looking normal again.
The Xtra Leaf is positioned 4th down from the top (2nd up from the bottom). The factory U Bolts and also the U bolts supplied with our AAA air bag kit still fit when the Xtra Leaf is fitted.

Makes the Factory Pack a +220kg Constant load spring, Ideal for Trays and Canopies.
This is not a lift kit and is not intended to raise the car other than remove the saggy bum. If you have a standard car with no weight then it will give a slight lift but it’s role is to bring a heavy vehicle back to standard height.
When fitted to a heavy vehicle it will not be stiffer than a factory car with no weight as your additional weight negates the stiffness this adds. This has to add stiffness to carry the weight – it’s got a job to do. But it’s not going taller than standard so it’s not going to be a stiffer ride than normal given you carry that weight.
We also do air bags. AAA Suspension were first to market with their Air Bag Kit. The air bags can carry extra heavy loads and are ideal for towing caravans, work trailers or slide on campers. The concept of the bags are that you haven’t made the springs stiffer and you can go back to factory softness by airing down when unloaded.
